SANAA, Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) has claimed responsibility for missile and drone strikes targeting Saudi Aramco oil facilities in the Saudi cities of Jizan and Yanbu, saying the attacks sparked fires at the energy installations.
In a statement, the Houthis said the strikes were carried out in retaliation for recent attacks on Hodeidah Port, warning that additional operations against Saudi Arabia could follow if military actions continue.
The group accused Saudi Arabia of maintaining what it described as an “unjust blockade” on Yemen for the past 12 years, saying its latest operation was a response to that blockade.
“The response to the blockade will be a blockade, and the response to escalation will be further escalation,” the Houthis said.
The claims come amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over attacks on critical energy infrastructure in the Middle East.

Saudi authorities have not confirmed the Houthi claims, and there has been no immediate official statement from Saudi Aramco regarding reported damage or fires at the facilities.
If independently verified, the strikes would represent another escalation in the conflict, raising fresh concerns over regional security and the stability of global energy supplies.
