ISLAMABAD, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended the operating hours of its Consular Services Division, introducing an evening shift to improve public access and service delivery.
Under the revised schedule, consular services will now be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., allowing citizens to access services for 12 hours a day.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the additional evening shift has been introduced to provide the public with greater convenience, improved efficiency, and enhanced service quality.
The ministry has also issued a public notice informing citizens of the updated working hours and encouraging applicants to take advantage of the extended schedule.
The move is expected to ease congestion during peak hours and facilitate faster processing of various consular services, including document attestation and other public assistance provided by the ministry.
Officials said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving citizen services through more accessible and customer-friendly administrative procedures.
