ISLAMABAD, The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan has donated 35 sets of cricket equipment to Uzbekistan to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, highlighting its commitment to promoting sports and strengthening people-to-people ties.
The symbolic donation marks Uzbekistan’s 35 years of independence and reflects the embassy’s efforts to encourage the development of cricket in the Central Asian nation, where the sport has been gaining increasing popularity in recent years.
The initiative also underscores the growing sporting and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, with cricket serving as another avenue for enhancing bilateral friendship and youth engagement.
Pakistan, one of the world’s leading cricket-playing nations, has actively supported the promotion of cricket in several emerging countries through training, technical cooperation, and sports diplomacy.
