ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) held a special interactive session with students participating in ISPR Summer Internship 2026, delivering a comprehensive briefing on national security, terrorism, responsible use of social media, and the growing challenges posed by misinformation and disinformation.
During the session, the DG ISPR responded in detail to a wide range of questions from students, providing explanations on key national security issues and addressing misconceptions through fact-based discussions.
According to the organizers, more than 6,000 students from across Pakistan are participating in ISPR Summer Internship 2026, which is being conducted at 21 different stations nationwide.
Participants described the session as highly informative, saying they received practical guidance on identifying misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and unverified news circulating on digital platforms.
Students noted that the DG ISPR’s detailed presentation helped clarify several misunderstandings regarding Pakistan’s national security policies. They also said the briefing on the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, India’s information campaign, and Pakistan’s official position enabled them to better understand the realities on the ground.

The participants further stated that the DG ISPR’s fact-based explanation regarding Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij addressed existing confusion surrounding these issues.
At the conclusion of the session, students reaffirmed their commitment to promoting verified information, countering hostile propaganda, and contributing responsibly to the digital information environment.
