GAZA, — The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) has completed a two-day workshop focused on developing a practical plan for temporary housing for displaced Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip.
The technocratic committee, which is tasked with helping administer Gaza in a post-Hamas governance framework, said the workshop aimed to turn broader commitments on temporary accommodation into a concrete delivery plan.
Focus on Housing and Reconstruction
The workshop was held in partnership with Board of Peace Gaza envoy Nickolay Mladenov and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
According to the NCAG, discussions covered a range of issues linked to temporary housing and urban recovery, including planning standards, construction sites, rubble removal, post-construction management and governance.
The participants concluded the discussions with an action plan outlining specific outputs as part of the wider Gaza Recovery Program.

The committee said the initiative is intended to contribute to providing displaced families with safer and more dignified living conditions.
Gaza Governance Plan Faces Challenges
The workshop comes as efforts to establish the new technocratic administration in Gaza face continued political and security challenges.
The NCAG had been expected to move closer to entering Gaza after Hamas accepted a Board of Peace disarmament proposal last week. However, implementation of the broader plan has reportedly faced delays amid Israeli opposition.
The future administration of Gaza, the disarmament of armed groups and the reconstruction of the territory remain among the most sensitive issues in efforts to establish a long-term post-conflict framework.
