JEDDAH, The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the signing of the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defence between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye.
OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha expressed strong support for the agreement in a statement issued on Friday.
He described the agreement as an important strategic step. He said it reflects the three countries’ commitment to stronger regional and international cooperation.
According to the OIC, the agreement can help strengthen security and stability in the region and across the Muslim world.
The Secretary-General also highlighted the importance of solidarity among OIC member states. He said the agreement reflects a shared resolve to address growing security challenges through constructive cooperation.
