DUBAI: A new direct maritime cargo route has been launched between Khorfakkan Port in the United Arab Emirates and China, creating a faster shipping link for vehicle transportation.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the new service will connect Khorfakkan Port, located on the Gulf of Oman outside the Strait of Hormuz, with Xiaomo Port in China.
Vehicle Shipments to Arrive Directly at Khorfakkan
Under the new service, large consignments of vehicles will be transported directly from Xiaomo Port to Khorfakkan Port.
The launch of the route is expected to improve maritime connectivity between the UAE and China while supporting faster movement of vehicles between the two markets.
Shipping Time to Be Reduced
According to WAM, the new direct shipping route will reduce vehicle transportation time by three to five days.
