OIC Prepares Training Programme on Youth, Cultural Diplomacy and Leadership

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has held a coordination meeting to prepare for a training programme on youth, cultural diplomacy and leadership development.

The OIC organized the virtual meeting on August 13 in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport of Saudi Arabia.

The hybrid training programme will take place on September 3, 2026, at the OIC General Secretariat. The event will form part of the activities marking OIC Youth Day.

OIC Reviews Training Programme

Several speakers who will take part in the programme attended the coordination meeting. Representatives from OIC organs and institutions also joined the session.

Participants reviewed the draft programme and discussed the main themes of the training sessions.

They also examined the arrangements needed to conduct the programme successfully.

The Islamic Solidarity Fund provided additional information on organizational and coordination matters related to the training course.

Programme Focuses on Youth Leadership

The training course will focus on cultural diplomacy and leadership development.

It aims to improve young people’s knowledge and practical skills in these areas. The programme will also give young participants a platform to discuss challenges linked to youth empowerment.

The OIC expects the initiative to strengthen the skills of young people across its member states.

It also seeks to prepare young people to take a more active role in developing their communities.

Young People and Officials to Participate

Young people and officials responsible for youth affairs from OIC Member States are expected to attend the programme.

Representatives from OIC organs and institutions will also participate.

Partner international and regional organizations are expected to join the training programme as well.

The initiative reflects the OIC’s broader efforts to empower young people and strengthen their role in cultural diplomacy, leadership and community development.
