MOSCOW: Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated in Moscow with an evening of music, culture and friendship hosted by the Embassy of Pakistan in Russia.
Hundreds of Pakistanis, Russians and friends of Pakistan attended the celebration. A large number of members of the diplomatic corps also joined the event with their families.
The celebration brought Pakistani culture and music to the heart of the Russian capital.
Khumariyaan Performs in Moscow for the First Time
The event also marked the first performance in Moscow by internationally acclaimed Pakistani hyper-folk band Khumariyaan.
The band brought the distinctive sound of the rubab and contemporary Pakistani folk music to the Russian capital.
