BEIJING, India and China discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and maintain peace along their disputed border during high-level talks in Beijing on Tuesday.
Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held the talks, according to the Indian Embassy in China.
The two officials also discussed efforts to advance negotiations on the long-running boundary dispute.
25th Special Representatives Meeting
Doval and Wang Yi co-chaired the 25th meeting of the Special Representatives on the India-China Boundary Question.
The Indian Embassy said the officials reviewed the recent momentum in bilateral relations.
They also discussed steps to preserve peace and stability along the border.
In addition, the two sides considered further work on boundary delimitation.
India-China Relations Show Signs of Improvement
The talks come as India and China seek to improve bilateral relations after years of tensions along their disputed Himalayan border.
Both countries have worked to reduce tensions and maintain stability in border areas.
The latest meeting signals continued diplomatic engagement between New Delhi and Beijing.
