Ambassador-designate of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Irfan Davudov, paid a courtesy visit to Turkmenistan Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov.
Movlamov also serves as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two diplomats discussed the strong and fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
They also exchanged views on opportunities to expand cooperation between the two countries.
Focus on Strong Bilateral Ties
The meeting highlighted the close relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Both countries maintain diplomatic, economic and cultural links. They have also expressed interest in expanding cooperation across several areas.
The meeting in Islamabad also reflected the role of diplomatic engagement in strengthening regional cooperation.
Davudov is expected to assume his diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan as Azerbaijan’s new ambassador.
