Indonesian Navy Chief Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two officials discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
Pakistan and Indonesia Discuss Defence Ties
The two sides expressed satisfaction with their current military ties.
They also agreed to strengthen cooperation in professional training, defence and joint exercises.
The officials also discussed cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stronger ties with Indonesia in defence and security.
He described the relationship between the two countries as long-standing and brotherly.
Admiral Muhammad Ali praised the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army.
He also recognised the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in promoting regional peace and stability, ISPR said.
Lebanese Interior Minister Meets Asim Munir
Separately, Lebanese Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar met Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ.
According to ISPR, the meeting covered matters of mutual interest and the changing security situation in the region.
The two sides also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the security sector.
