The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned what it described as “heinous” Houthi attacks targeting Mecca and the Madinah region.
The OIC said the Houthi group also continues what it called aggression against Saudi Arabia.
In a statement posted on X, the OIC General Secretariat condemned the reported attacks on the two holy regions.
Houthis Deny Targeting Mecca
The Houthi group has denied posing a threat to Mecca or other Islamic holy sites.
The OIC statement comes after the Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone south of Mecca.
Saudi authorities said the drone did not enter the prohibited airspace over the holy city.
The Houthis have also announced attacks on Saudi targets amid rising regional tensions.
