Pakistan Army Chief Congratulates Gen. Syed Amir Raza on Assuming Command of National Strategic Command

RAWALPINDI, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met General Syed Amir Raza, the newly appointed Commander of the National Strategic Command, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated General Syed Amir Raza on assuming command of the National Strategic Command and extended his best wishes for his new responsibilities.

The ISPR said that a Guard of Honour was presented to General Syed Amir Raza following his appointment as Commander of the National Strategic Command.

As part of the ceremony, the newly appointed commander also visited the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Monument), where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha in tribute to Pakistan’s fallen soldiers, honoring their sacrifices for the country.

The ceremony marked the formal assumption of command and reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s tradition of paying tribute to the nation’s martyrs while ensuring continuity in its strategic leadership.
