ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Prime Minister’s Adviser Dr. Syed Taqdir Shah, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, while recalling his official visit to China in May this year.
He emphasized that Pakistan and China would continue to work closely to implement the key decisions and agreements reached by the leadership of both countries, ensuring that their peoples benefit from deeper bilateral cooperation and shared development.
The two sides also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation, including developments in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and South Asia.

Ambassador Jiang Zaidong thanked the Prime Minister and reiterated that China regards Pakistan as its “ironclad brother.” He said Beijing would continue extending its full support to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while promoting its social and economic development.
The meeting reaffirmed the enduring strength of Pakistan-China relations and both countries’ commitment to expanding cooperation across strategic, economic, and regional issues.
