SANA’A, Yemen’s Ansarullah movement leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi has strongly condemned the recent joint military strikes carried out by the United States and Saudi Arabia against targets in Iraq, describing them as part of a broader Zionist-American strategy aimed at reshaping the Middle East and advancing what he called the “Greater Israel” project.
In a televised address, al-Houthi expressed full solidarity with the Iraqi people, Iraq’s security institutions, and resistance groups, stating that the attacks represented an assault on Iraqi sovereignty rather than an isolated military operation.
“We condemn the unjust US-Saudi aggression and reaffirm our complete solidarity with the Iraqi people and all those defending the country,” he said.
Claims of a Wider Regional Strategy
Al-Houthi argued that the strikes form part of a long-term geopolitical plan to alter the political and demographic landscape of West Asia. According to him, military operations targeting Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine are interconnected efforts designed to eliminate forces opposing Israeli and American influence in the region.
He claimed the United States was pursuing colonial ambitions under the framework of what he described as a Zionist project, accusing Washington of exploiting regional conflicts to expand its strategic influence.

Criticism of Regional Cooperation with Washington
The Ansarullah leader sharply criticized Arab governments that cooperate with the United States, warning that any collaboration with what he described as the Zionist-American agenda ultimately harms the wider Muslim world.
He alleged that countries aligning themselves with Washington would eventually be discarded once they had served their purpose, arguing that such partnerships undermine regional independence and stability.
Accusations Against Saudi Arabia
Al-Houthi accused Saudi Arabia of supporting policies that, in his view, advance US and Israeli objectives. He claimed Riyadh had intensified restrictions on Yemen and had taken measures against Ansarullah during its support for Palestinians following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.

He further alleged that Saudi Arabia had financed initiatives that deepened divisions within the region, while reiterating Ansarullah’s intention to continue its strategy of imposing what he called a “siege for a siege.”
Support for Palestine
The Yemeni leader also focused on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, accusing Israel of continuing military operations despite ceasefire efforts. He further alleged that Israeli authorities were carrying out activities beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound that could threaten the historic site.
Calling on Muslim-majority countries to adopt a united position, al-Houthi urged regional governments to resist foreign influence and strengthen cooperation based on what he described as shared Islamic values and interests.

Al-Houthi’s remarks came shortly after the United States and Saudi Arabia carried out coordinated strikes against targets in Iraq, saying the operations were conducted in response to drone attacks against American forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.
