WASHINGTON, The United States military has rejected claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that it destroyed three F-35 fighter jets at Jordan’s Al Azraq Air Base, insisting that no American military aircraft were damaged during the recent attacks.
In a statement posted on X, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks caused no damage to US fighter aircraft or military facilities.
According to CENTCOM, all missiles and drones launched by Iran were either intercepted in the air or failed to reach their intended targets.
The US military also dismissed reports claiming that the commercial oil tanker Noura was damaged during Iran’s actions linked to the US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM stated that the United States continues to maintain the maritime blockade with more than 20 warships, hundreds of military aircraft, and thousands of troops deployed across the region.

The command emphasized that American forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threats and continue maritime security operations.
Earlier, the IRGC claimed it had struck US military assets in Jordan and released what it described as satellite images showing hangars at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, where US F-35 fighter aircraft were reportedly stationed.
However, the United States has categorically denied those claims, maintaining that no US aircraft were destroyed or damaged during the alleged attack.
