LAHORE, Pakistan — The Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS Countries (APGR & CIS) has announced the formation of Pakistan’s National Preparatory Committee (NPC) to coordinate the country’s participation in the International Youth Festival 2026, scheduled to take place in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11 to 17, 2026.
The committee will oversee national preparations, participant selection, and outreach activities ahead of one of the world’s largest youth gatherings.
Pakistan Begins Preparations for Global Youth Festival
The International Youth Festival 2026 will be organized under the theme:
“Follow Your Dream. Together with Russia!”
Organizers expect approximately 10,000 young participants from nearly 190 countries to attend the week-long event.
The festival aims to strengthen international youth cooperation through dialogue, innovation, education, and cultural exchange.
25-Member National Committee Established
According to APGR & CIS, Pakistan’s National Preparatory Committee consists of 25 members representing the country’s major provinces.
The committee includes representatives from:
- Punjab
- Sindh
- Balochistan
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)
The committee will coordinate Pakistan’s official participation and ensure nationwide representation.
Committee to Manage Participant Selection
The National Preparatory Committee will supervise:
- Selection of Pakistani delegates
- Public outreach and awareness campaigns
- Coordination with festival organizers
- Administrative and organizational preparations
Officials said the committee intends to ensure transparent and inclusive participation.
