250 Pakistani Youth to Attend Russia Youth Festival

LAHORE: Around 250 young people from Pakistan are expected to participate in the Russia International Youth Festival 2026 in September.

So far, 150 Pakistani participants have completed their registration for the international event.

The information was shared by Dr. Shahid Hasan, Ambassador of Russian Science and Education to Pakistan and Chairman of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and the CIS.

He spoke during a meeting of Pakistan’s National Preparatory Committee for the festival.

150 Participants Already Registered

The meeting reviewed the registration process and other preparations for Pakistan’s participation.

Dr. Shahid Hasan said around 10,000 young people from 190 countries are expected to attend the festival.

He said the event would give Pakistani youth an opportunity to meet young people from different parts of the world.

Participants will also be able to exchange ideas and learn about different cultures.

Opportunity for Pakistani Youth

Dr. Shahid Hasan encouraged young Pakistanis to use the festival to showcase their skills and talents.

He said the event could also help participants represent Pakistan positively on the international stage.

The National Preparatory Committee has set a target of registering 250 students and young people from across Pakistan.

Representatives of the Pakistani community in Russia also attended the meeting. Several community members and other participants shared their views on preparations for the festival.

The festival is expected to provide a platform for youth exchange, cultural interaction and international cooperation between young people from Pakistan and other countries.
