PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership and its allies support the planned long march.
Speaking on Geo News program Capital Talk, Afridi said the party had faced accusations of promoting confrontational politics.
He rejected those claims and said peaceful protest remains a constitutional right.
Afridi Raises Concerns Over Imran Khan’s Detention
Sohail Afridi also raised concerns about the detention conditions of PTI founder Imran Khan.
He claimed authorities had kept Khan in solitary confinement. Afridi described the situation as unconstitutional.
The chief minister also said Khan’s sisters and lawyers could not meet him.
Afridi demanded greater access for Khan to his doctors.
He also called for proper medical treatment at a leading hospital.

Afridi said the party’s political leadership and coalition partners remain on board with the long march.
He said PTI leaders would continue to follow the directions of Imran Khan.
The chief minister also made clear that the party could change its plans if Khan ordered them to do so.
“If the PTI founder asks us to withdraw the long march call, we will withdraw it,” Afridi said.
Afridi Defends Aleema Khan
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister also discussed the political role of Aleema Khan.
He said Aleema Khan is not a political figure and has no involvement in politics.
