TEHRAN: Iran and Oman are set to hold talks on the Strait of Hormuz and maritime routes on Tuesday.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said claims about U.S. oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz are part of psychological warfare.
Iran Warns Bulgaria Over U.S. Refueling Support
According to foreign media reports, Iran has also warned Bulgaria over providing refueling facilities to U.S. aircraft.
Iranian officials have issued several warnings over foreign support for U.S. military operations in the region.
Iran Threatens to Halt Oil Shipments
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that Iran could stop oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

He said Iran would not allow even a drop of oil to pass through the strait if the economic war against the country continued.
Rezaei also criticized repeated U.S. sanctions against Iran. He said previous sanctions had failed to achieve their goals.
Iran Rejects U.S. Sanctions
Iranian Economy Minister Seyed Ali Madanizadeh said Tehran was ready to counter U.S. sanctions.
He said the sanctions would not cut Iran’s financial lifelines.
Meanwhile, talks between Iran and Oman are expected to focus on the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the movement of ships through key maritime routes.
The Strait of Hormuz is a major global energy route. Any disruption there could affect international oil and gas markets.
