Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Arrives in China for Four-Day Official Visit

URUMQI: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has arrived in China for a four-day official visit.

Chinese senior officials and diplomatic representatives warmly welcomed Maryam Nawaz and her delegation at Urumqi International Airport.

The Punjab chief minister will begin her official engagements at the Xinjiang State Guest House Conference Center.

On the first day, Maryam Nawaz will attend four key meetings. A high-level delegation led by the Party Secretary of Xinjiang will meet with her.

Meetings with Xinjiang Officials

Maryam Nawaz will also hold a meeting with He Zhongyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Committee.

In addition, she will meet a delegation from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).

The meetings will focus on areas of mutual interest and cooperation between Punjab and Xinjiang. The visit is expected to provide an opportunity to explore new avenues for cooperation between the two sides.

Maryam Nawaz is visiting China as part of efforts to strengthen Punjab’s engagement with Chinese provinces and institutions. Her delegation will also discuss opportunities for development and closer institutional cooperation.

Focus on Pakistan-China Cooperation

The Punjab chief minister’s visit comes amid strong Pakistan-China relations. Her engagements in Xinjiang are expected to further strengthen cooperation between Punjab and Chinese institutions.

The four-day visit will include several high-level meetings and official engagements.
