KHARTOUM: Pakistan’s non-resident Ambassador to Sudan, Atif Sharif Mian, has presented his letter of credence to General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council.
The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Khartoum, according to Ambassador Atif Sharif Mian.
During the ceremony, the ambassador conveyed the Government of Pakistan’s firm solidarity with the government and people of Sudan.
Pakistan Supports Sudan’s Unity and Peace Efforts
Ambassador Atif Sharif Mian said Pakistan supports Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Sudanese government’s efforts to restore lasting peace and national cohesion.
Pakistan has also expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Sudan.
Focus on Bilateral Cooperation
The ambassador said Pakistan is keen to deepen cooperation with Sudan in vital sectors.
The presentation of credentials marks a diplomatic step toward strengthening engagement between the two countries.
Pakistan and Sudan maintain longstanding ties. Both sides have also expressed interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.
