NEW YORK, The United States will allow an Iranian delegation to attend the UN General Assembly next week.
The US State Department confirmed the decision on Thursday.
A State Department spokesperson said the Iranian delegation will face travel restrictions.
US policy will also limit the delegation’s purchases of luxury goods and other items.
Smaller Iranian Delegation
The spokesperson said Iran will send fewer delegates than last year.
The Iranian group will attend the annual UN gathering in New York.
The General Assembly will hold its high-level meetings next week.
The US decision allows Iranian representatives to take part despite existing restrictions.
