RIYADH —  Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council and Coordinator of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia. He said the security of Makkah and Madinah is a “red line” for Muslims.

Ashrafi spoke at a conference on Saudi Arabia’s efforts to counter harmful ideas. He stressed that Pakistan stands with the Kingdom and its leadership.

Pakistan Stands with Saudi Arabia

“Pakistan’s government, army, scholars and people stand with the Kingdom and its wise leadership,” Ashrafi said.

He added that anyone who targets Makkah and Madinah acts against Islam and Muslims. He also called Saudi Arabia a key center of unity for the Muslim world.

Ashrafi said the Kingdom remains strong despite regional challenges. He stressed that its security matters to Muslims everywhere.

Ashrafi Criticises Red Sea Agreement

Ashrafi also referred to an agreement that allows American and Israeli ships to pass through the Red Sea.

He said the deal had exposed what he called false slogans and the political use of the Palestinian cause.

His comments criticised those he accused of using support for Palestine to serve their own interests.

Security of the Two Holy Mosques

Ashrafi repeated that the security of the Two Holy Mosques remains a red line. He said Pakistan’s government, armed forces, religious scholars and public support Saudi Arabia.

He also stressed the close ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom. His remarks focused on Saudi security, Muslim unity and regional developments.
