Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council and coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Paigham-e-Pakistan Committee, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, has responded strongly to recent remarks attributed to the Indian military leadership, saying threats against Pakistan would not weaken the country.

In his statement, Ashrafi said the Indian Army Chief should remember last year’s “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” and “Maarka-e-Haq” instead of issuing threats toward Pakistan.

Ashrafi stated that Pakistan was founded on the principle of “La Ilaha Illallah” and would continue to remain strong and stable.

“Pakistan was established on the foundation of faith and, God willing, it will remain until the Day of Judgment. No one can harm it,” he said.

The religious scholar emphasized that Pakistan’s people, armed forces and religious leadership are united for the protection of national security, sovereignty and stability.

According to Ashrafi, the country will not be intimidated by external pressure or hostile rhetoric.

He said Pakistan’s leadership and institutions remain committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity and strategic interests.

The statement comes amid continuing tensions between Pakistan and India over regional security and political disputes.

Despite his criticism, Ashrafi stressed the importance of responsible behavior and diplomacy for maintaining peace in South Asia.

He noted that regional stability requires restraint and constructive engagement from all sides, but added that Pakistan would not compromise on its defense and national security.
