ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iran have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, science, research and higher education, with both countries agreeing to broaden academic and scientific partnerships.
The commitment was made during a meeting in Islamabad between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education and Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Hossein Simayi Sarraf.
During the talks, both sides agreed to enhance collaboration between universities, research institutions and educational organizations in the two neighboring countries.
The ministers emphasized expanding cooperation in teacher training, curriculum development, artificial intelligence (AI), digital education and educational technology, recognizing these sectors as key drivers of future innovation.
Pakistan and Iran also agreed to promote student and faculty exchange programs, launch joint research initiatives, organize academic conferences and increase scholarship opportunities to strengthen people-to-people and institutional links.
