ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has departed for Manila, Philippines, to participate in the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, where he will represent Pakistan on key regional and global security issues.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two-day forum will be held on July 22–23 in Manila and will bring together foreign ministers and senior representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region.
During the ministerial meeting, Ishaq Dar is expected to present Pakistan’s perspective on regional and international political and security developments while reaffirming the country’s commitment to peace, stability and dialogue in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Foreign Office said the deputy prime minister will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and senior officials from participating countries on the sidelines of the forum.
The meetings will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding diplomatic engagement and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
