Manila – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of diplomatic engagements in Manila, where both leaders reviewed the state of Pakistan-Russia relations and explored ways to deepen cooperation.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two foreign ministers held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including trade, energy, connectivity, and other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also covered the regional and international situation, with both sides exchanging views on current geopolitical developments and emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation.
Dar and Lavrov agreed to maintain close diplomatic coordination and continue high-level exchanges to further enhance the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and Russia.
