ISLAMABAD, — The Government of Pakistan has officially set the Diyat (blood money) amount for the 2026–27 fiscal year at Rs19,352,390, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
Under the notification, the compensation amount has been calculated based on the value of 30,630 grams of silver, in accordance with the relevant provisions of Pakistani law governing Diyat payments.
The revised amount will apply during the 2026–27 financial year and serves as the legally prescribed benchmark for Diyat in applicable criminal cases under Pakistan’s legal framework.
The Ministry of Finance issues the Diyat notification annually to reflect changes in the market value of silver, ensuring that the compensation amount remains aligned with the statutory formula.
