Tahir Ashrafi Urges Joint Political and Religious Strategy Against Terrorism, Praises Saudi Crown Prince

ISLAMABAD, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, has urged Pakistan’s political and religious leadership to set aside their differences and adopt a unified national strategy to combat terrorism following the recent attack in Swat.

In a statement, Ashrafi said that the blood of innocent Pakistanis and Muslims had once again been shed in Swat, stressing that the country could no longer afford political and religious divisions in the face of terrorism.

“Has the time not yet come for the national political and religious leadership to sit together and formulate a joint strategy to stop this continuous bloodshed?” he asked.

Ashrafi emphasized that the current situation demands unity among all political and religious stakeholders to ensure peace, stability, and the complete eradication of terrorism from Pakistan.

He also prayed for the victims of the attack, asking Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the martyrs, grant complete recovery to the injured, and bless Pakistan with lasting peace and security.

Praise for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

In a separate message, Sheikh Tahir Ashrafi expressed appreciation for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, praising his efforts to defend the interests of the Muslim Ummah and strengthen unity among Muslim nations.

Ashrafi said the scholars and people of the Arab and Islamic world acknowledge and appreciate the Crown Prince’s sincere efforts to promote solidarity, stability, and cooperation within the Muslim world.

He stated that Muslims support the Crown Prince’s initiatives and commend his leadership and achievements in advancing the interests of the Islamic world.
