SWAT, Pakistan, At least 15 people, including six police officers, were Martyr and 10 others injured in a suicide bombing near Kabal Police Station in Pakistan’s northwestern Swat district, according to police officials.
Authorities said the attacker attempted to enter the police station before detonating explosives near the main gate after being stopped by security personnel.
According to Malakand Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Fida Hussain, the suicide bomber tried to gain entry into Kabal Police Station but was intercepted by police officers.
“When security personnel stopped him at the gate, the attacker detonated the explosives,” the DIG said.
He added that a local youth protest was taking place near the police station at the time of the explosion.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police said preliminary findings suggest the explosion was a suicide attack. Bomb disposal experts are examining the blast site to determine the exact nature of the attack.
Police also recovered a human head from the scene, believed to belong to the suspected suicide bomber.
Initial investigations indicate the attacker may have been an Afghan national, although authorities said further forensic examination is underway to establish the identity of the assailant.

All victims and injured individuals were shifted to Central Hospital Swat, while senior police officials and heavy security contingents secured the area.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi condemned the attack and directed the provincial Inspector General of Police to submit a detailed report.
He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and instructed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for those injured.
“The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police continue to make great sacrifices for the protection of lives and property. Enemies of peace will not be allowed to succeed in their malicious objectives,” the Chief Minister said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide bombing and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.
He extended condolences to the bereaved families and directed relevant authorities to provide the best available medical care to the injured.

“The struggle to eliminate the scourge of terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated,” the Prime Minister said.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack, paying tribute to the police officers who lost their lives while preventing the bomber from entering the police station.
“The brave police personnel sacrificed their lives to stop the suicide attacker from entering the station, saving many innocent lives. Their courage and dedication represent the highest example of duty and sacrifice,” he said.
Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation while security has been further tightened across the region.
