RIYADH, — Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi has strongly condemned attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia’s Najran Region, describing them as a serious violation of international law.
Albudaiwi said the attacks represented a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, particularly because of the alleged deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure.
GCC Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia
The GCC Secretary-General said the attacks posed a serious threat to regional and international security and stability and stressed that those responsible should be held accountable.
He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the security of all GCC member states.
Albudaiwi said the GCC stands united with Saudi Arabia and supports all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.

The statement comes amid continued regional security concerns and heightened tensions involving the Houthis and Gulf states.
