The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Türkiye, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have condemned Israel’s rejection of a proposed road map for ending the Gaza conflict.
The eight countries said Israel’s position also rejects Palestinian statehood. They warned that this could put wider peace efforts at risk.
Eight Countries Back Gaza Peace Efforts
The foreign ministers said the road map aims to complete the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.
They noted that the United Nations Security Council has endorsed the plan through Resolution 2803.
According to the statement, Israel’s rejection could undermine efforts to implement the plan.

The countries also stressed the need for a fair and lasting peace in the region.
Israel’s Position Raises Concerns
The eight foreign ministers said Israel’s rejection amounts to a direct challenge to the Gaza peace plan.
They argued that such a position could make it harder to achieve an end to the conflict.
Furthermore, they said the rejection threatens collective efforts to establish lasting peace in Gaza and the wider occupied Palestinian territory.
Responsibility for Peace Efforts
The countries said Israel now bears responsibility for obstructing efforts to bring peace to Gaza and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territory.
They also linked the issue to the question of Palestinian statehood.
The ministers stressed that rejecting Palestinian statehood would further weaken efforts to achieve a lasting political solution.
Call for a Just and Lasting Peace
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Türkiye, Qatar and the UAE said international efforts must continue.
They called for implementation of the agreed road map and continued work toward a just and lasting peace.
