ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf met with Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman and International Council for the Honor of the Two Holy Mosques Secretary-General Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi.
The meeting covered preparations for the proposed International Seerat Conference, Hajj arrangements, and efforts to promote interfaith and inter-sectarian harmony in Pakistan.
Hajj Arrangements Discussed
During the meeting, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi appreciated the arrangements made for Pakistani pilgrims during the previous Hajj.
He also praised the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony for measures aimed at improving facilities and services for pilgrims during the current Hajj season.
Ashrafi said the ministry had taken valuable steps over the past two years to improve services for Pakistani pilgrims.
International Seerat Conference
The two sides also discussed the proposed International Seerat Conference.
Ashrafi expressed hope that the conference would develop a positive, effective and comprehensive strategy to address the challenges facing young people in Pakistan and the wider Muslim world in light of the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said the conference could provide an important platform for scholars and religious leaders to discuss issues affecting Muslim youth and explore constructive solutions.

Focus on Interfaith and Sectarian Harmony
The meeting also reviewed measures to strengthen coordination between the National Message of Peace Committee and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
The participants discussed ways to promote interfaith harmony, inter-sectarian unity, religious tolerance and national cohesion.
Both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation among religious leaders and institutions to strengthen peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in the country.
Minister Praises Religious Leadership
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf thanked Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi for his contribution to promoting religious harmony and national unity.
The federal minister also appreciated the role of the National Message of Peace Committee and the Pakistan Ulema Council in promoting interfaith and inter-sectarian harmony.
He paid tribute to the continued efforts of religious leaders and organizations to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and national unity in Pakistan.
