TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called on the rulers of Gulf countries to identify and confront what he described as their “real enemy.”
Khamenei issued the message on social media as Muslims marked the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Addressing Gulf rulers directly, he said the United States and Israel were enemies not only of Iran but of the wider Muslim world.
He urged Gulf states to recognize what he called their real adversary, understand its plans and take steps to counter them.
Khamenei Calls for Greater Muslim Cooperation
Khamenei also called on Muslims around the world to strengthen unity and increase mutual defence and cooperation against their perceived enemies.

His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continuing disputes involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
The Iranian leader’s message also focused on the need for Muslim countries to cooperate more closely in response to regional security challenges.
Pezeshkian Says Iran Will Resist Aggression
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed a ceremony in Tehran and said no one could force a determined nation to surrender.
Pezeshkian said Iran had not started the war and did not seek conflict. However, he stressed that Iran would stand with full strength against any aggressor.
“We did not start the war, nor do we seek war,” Pezeshkian said, according to Iranian media. He added that Iran would continue to resist any aggression with determination.
Iran Signals Continued Defiance
The statements from Khamenei and Pezeshkian reflect Tehran’s continued emphasis on resistance and regional cooperation.
Khamenei’s appeal specifically targeted Gulf governments, while Pezeshkian focused on Iran’s readiness to defend itself against external aggression.
The remarks come as tensions across the Middle East remain high, with Iran continuing to call for greater cooperation among Muslim countries.
