QUETTA: The Balochistan Home Department has dismissed 100 government employees over what officials described as an anti-state narrative.
Babar Yousafzai, adviser to the provincial home minister for media, announced the action.
He said 95 of the dismissed employees were university teachers.
In addition, five other employees also lost their jobs. They include three workers from the health department.
Officials Cite Oath Violation
Yousafzai said the dismissed employees had violated their official oath.
He also warned that the government would take action against people who spread what he called anti-state views.
“We will not spare those who speak against the country,” Yousafzai said.
The official did not provide further details about the employees or the specific statements that led to their dismissal.
