The Chief of the Indonesian Navy, Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali, visited Pakistan Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
A guard of honor welcomed the Indonesian Navy chief upon his arrival.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Admiral Muhammad Ali also visited the Martyrs’ Memorial. He laid a floral wreath and paid tribute to Pakistan’s fallen soldiers.
He later met Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
Pakistan, Indonesia Discuss Naval Cooperation
The two naval chiefs discussed matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security and bilateral naval cooperation.
They also reviewed ways to expand cooperation between the naval forces of Pakistan and Indonesia.
According to ISPR, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen naval ties through training, reciprocal visits and joint maritime exercises.
The Indonesian Navy chief appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to promote regional maritime security.
Focus on Stronger Naval Relations
The meeting also stressed the importance of regular contacts and practical cooperation.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen relations between their naval forces through greater interaction and joint activities.
