Washington/Tehran: The United States continued its military campaign against Iran for a seventh consecutive night, with reports of fresh strikes and explosions heard in the southern Iranian city of Sirik, according to local media reports.
In a statement, the US military claimed that during naval operations around Iranian ports over the past three days, it redirected four commercial vessels and rendered one commercial ship inoperable.
According to the statement, the maritime operations were aimed at protecting US interests in the region and maintaining oversight of key shipping routes. However, US officials did not disclose the identity, flag, or ownership of the vessel that was reportedly disabled.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported multiple explosions in the coastal city of Sirik in southern Iran. Iranian authorities have not yet issued detailed information regarding the cause of the blasts, possible casualties, or the extent of the damage.
