UK High Commissioner Jane Marriott Meets Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti, Discusses Development and Investment Cooperation

QUETTA: United Kingdom High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott met with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to discuss matters of mutual interest, development cooperation, and strengthening bilateral engagement between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed opportunities for collaboration in key sectors, including education, healthcare, governance, and investment. They emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships that contribute to sustainable development, institutional capacity-building, and improved public services across Balochistan.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti briefed the British High Commissioner on the provincial government’s ongoing reforms and development initiatives. He highlighted efforts aimed at improving governance, attracting investment, and creating a favorable environment for economic growth in the province.

Speaking during the meeting, Bugti said that peace, sustainable development, and public welfare remain the top priorities of the Balochistan government.
