TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to convene his security cabinet today sunday at 1:00 p.m., following an earlier full cabinet session, an Israeli official confirmed to The Times of Israel.
The high-level meeting comes right before Netanyahu’s scheduled departure for Washington on Monday to hold discussions with US President Donald Trump. The talks take place as the US administration reassesses its strategy regarding Iran after pausing its nightly strikes over the weekend.
While President Trump reportedly intends to allow diplomatic efforts more time, Israeli officials emphasized that they remain fully prepared for potential military escalation.
