JERUSALEM, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to depart for Washington, D.C. on Sunday morning for a high-profile visit that includes a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu’s flight is scheduled to leave at 11:00 a.m. local time.
The Israeli leader is expected to hold talks with President Trump on Monday, with discussions likely to focus on the ongoing conflict involving Iran, regional security, Gaza, and broader strategic cooperation between the United States and Israel.
During his visit, Netanyahu will also attend a memorial service for late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, a longtime Republican lawmaker and prominent supporter of Israel, who passed away earlier this month.
The visit marks Netanyahu’s latest diplomatic engagement with Washington at a time of heightened regional instability and ongoing international efforts to address security challenges across the Middle East.
