TEHRAN, An Iranian military official has strongly denied any involvement in missile or rocket attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, rejecting allegations that Tehran was connected to the recent strikes on the Kingdom.
According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, the official said Iran had “absolutely no connection” with missiles or rockets launched from other countries against targets inside Saudi Arabia.
The official also dismissed claims linking attacks on US interests in the region to Iran, describing such accusations as a serious misunderstanding of the regional situation.
“It is a major misconception to attribute any action against American interests in the region to Iran,” the official was quoted as saying by IRIB.
The statement came after Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense reported fresh drone attacks targeting oil facilities in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province. Saudi authorities blamed Iran-backed militias operating in Iraq for carrying out the strikes.

Iran, however, insisted that attributing such operations to Tehran reflected a lack of understanding of the complex security dynamics in the region and rejected any responsibility for the attacks.
The latest exchange of accusations comes amid heightened regional tensions, with security concerns rising over attacks on energy infrastructure and growing instability across the Middle East.
