RAMALLAH, — China has reaffirmed its longstanding support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with the Chinese ambassador to Palestine emphasizing Beijing’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and continuing humanitarian and development assistance.

Speaking to the media, Chinese Ambassador Sun Xin said China remains firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and seeks to elevate its partnership with Palestine to new levels.

“China is committed to further strengthening bilateral relations with Palestine and taking the partnership to new heights,” Ambassador Sun said.

The Chinese envoy said meetings with Palestinian leaders provided firsthand insight into the hardships faced by the Palestinian people.

He expressed concern over what he described as the suffering and injustices experienced by Palestinians, reaffirming China’s support for a peaceful resolution based on international law.

Ambassador Sun stated that China is prepared to continue providing humanitarian aid and development assistance to Palestine.

He also noted that this year marks the third anniversary of the establishment of the China-Palestine Strategic Partnership, highlighting the growing diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two sides.

China has consistently supported a two-state solution, advocating the creation of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital while calling for dialogue and a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Beijing has repeatedly urged the international community to intensify efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the Middle East.
