TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has made two key appointments, naming Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr as his political adviser and Dr. Mohsen Rezaei as his representative to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
The appointments were announced through messages issued by the Supreme Leader on social media platform X.
Baqer Zolqadr Appointed Political Adviser
In a message addressed to Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said he had appointed him as his political adviser in view of his valuable experience.
Zolqadr has previously served as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
He has also played an active role in Iran’s security and political affairs over the years.

Mohsen Rezaei Named SNSC Representative
In a separate message, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei appointed Dr. Mohsen Rezaei as his representative to the Supreme National Security Council.
Khamenei cited Rezaei’s valuable experience as the basis for the appointment.
Rezaei has held senior positions in Iran’s political and security establishment and has extensive experience in strategic and national security affairs.
Appointments Highlight Importance of Security Affairs
The two appointments place experienced figures in key advisory and security roles within Iran’s leadership structure.
Zolqadr will serve as a political adviser to the Supreme Leader, while Rezaei will represent him at the Supreme National Security Council.
