ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has praised Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malkiy for his role in strengthening the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The president expressed these views during a farewell meeting with the Saudi ambassador at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
President Zardari Praises Saudi Ambassador
President Zardari appreciated Ambassador Nawaf’s dedicated service during his tenure in Pakistan.
He also praised the friendship, warmth and cooperation he showed towards Pakistan.
The president said Ambassador Nawaf played an important role in improving bilateral relations.
He highlighted his contribution to political, economic and trade cooperation.
Pakistan Values Saudi Arabia Partnership
President Zardari said Pakistan deeply values its longstanding friendship with Saudi Arabia.
He also praised the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan.
The president expressed confidence that the strong ties built during Ambassador Nawaf’s tenure would support future cooperation.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would continue to strengthen their strategic partnership.
Saudi Ambassador Thanks Pakistan
Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malkiy thanked President Zardari, the government and the people of Pakistan.
He appreciated the warmth and cooperation he received during his stay in the country.
Ambassador Nawaf has served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan since 2017.
He said he would continue to hold Pakistan and its people in high regard.
