ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the Makkah Defence Pact sends a message of unity and peace across the region.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley.
The Saudi minister conveyed the good wishes of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Al-Fadley also thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the warm welcome and hospitality.
Makkah Defence Pact Strengthens Ties
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the Makkah Defence Pact has brought Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye closer.
He said the agreement has strengthened ties among the three countries.
According to the prime minister, the pact also carries a message of unity and peace for the region.
He described Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as strategic partners.
Therefore, he called for greater cooperation in economic and agricultural sectors.
He said stronger trade and investment ties could further deepen the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries.
Focus on Trade and Investment
The prime minister expressed satisfaction with growing agricultural cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He also highlighted the positive progress in trade in agricultural products.
In particular, Pakistan aims to increase agricultural exports to Saudi Arabia.
Shehbaz Sharif said both countries should explore more opportunities in trade and investment.
