KP Chief Minister Announces EV Bike Scheme for Women

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced a new electric bike scheme for women across the province.

He made the announcement during a provincial cabinet meeting in Peshawar.

Afridi chaired the meeting and reviewed several issues related to development and public welfare.

Electric Bikes for Female Students and Workers

The chief minister said the provincial government would provide electric bikes to female students and working women.

He said the first phase of the scheme would start soon.

The government will provide the bikes on merit, according to Afridi.

The scheme aims to make travel easier for women and improve their access to education and jobs.

Government Plans Electric Rickshaw Scheme

Afridi also announced plans for an electric rickshaw scheme.

He said the government would launch the program after the electric bike scheme.

The chief minister described electric rickshaws as a useful step toward a cleaner and greener environment.

He said the government would continue to promote electric transport across the province.

Electric Bus Projects to Move Faster

Afridi also directed officials to speed up work on electric bus projects in divisional headquarters.

He called for faster progress on public welfare schemes included in the Annual Development Programme.

The chief minister also directed departments to speed up work on ongoing development projects.

He said the government would focus on projects that directly benefit the people.

Focus on Peace and Development

Afridi said the current financial year would bring peace, development and prosperity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He stressed the need for faster action on development projects.

The chief minister also reviewed other matters during the cabinet meeting.

Concern Over PTI Founder’s Health

During the meeting, Afridi also expressed serious concern about the health of the PTI founder.

He directed officials to fully implement court orders related to the PTI founder.

Afridi said the relevant authorities should follow all legal directions without delay.
