BISHKEK: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met Turkish National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) Director Ibrahim Kalin in Bishkek.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting.
Regional Security Discussed
The two sides discussed the regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
They also reviewed recent developments in the region.
The Mecca Mutual Defence Pact was among the key issues discussed during the meeting.

Focus on Peace and Stability
The Pakistani deputy prime minister stressed the need for continued communication between countries in the region.
He said regular diplomatic engagement remains important for promoting regional peace, security and stability.
The meeting comes as Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia move to strengthen coordination under the Mecca Mutual Defence Pact.
Both sides also reaffirmed the importance of close diplomatic contacts amid changing regional developments.
