BISHKEK: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko have agreed to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus.
The two leaders discussed ways to expand bilateral ties in several key sectors.
These areas include trade, industry, agriculture, information technology and technical training.
Leaders Review Bilateral Relations
The two leaders met in Bishkek on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting.
They expressed satisfaction with the positive progress in Pakistan-Belarus relations.

Trade and Industry Among Priority Areas
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif and Lukashenko reviewed recent developments in bilateral relations.
They recalled President Lukashenko’s historic visit to Pakistan in November 2024.
They also discussed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Belarus in April 2025.
Following these visits, both sides have worked to expand economic ties.
The two leaders agreed to give greater attention to trade and industry.
They also identified agriculture, information technology and technical training as important areas for future cooperation.
Pakistan Invites Lukashenko
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited President Lukashenko to visit Pakistan next year.
The invitation came as Belarus prepares to assume the chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State.
